UZDoom, a non-slopped fork of GZDoom, just released version 5.0.0. It has been a project I have followed since inception, and it delights me everytime they post an update.

Normal Tools ➞
Like the URL reads, Normal Tools is a site with useful tools you absolutely need and useful tools you absolutely never knew you needed. No login, nary an installer in sight (site?), and a beautiful layout that’s easy to search and navigate.
Seriously. It looks fantastic, especially with Iosevka.
All That Bread
I never owned a Mac until the MacBook Pro I purchased in 2011 (RIP my intigrated GPU that died just out of warranty), but Flying Toasters screensavers were everywhere on the Macs used by my teachers at school:
While there was a version released for Windows, I neer purchased those due to already having the the free (perfectly cromulent) screensavers that came with Windows. Eventually, they would fall out of style due to power saving features being the defaulted preference by operating system manufacturers, with the goal of preserving both the environment and your monitor.
Recently, fans of the Flying Toasters and other AfterDark screensavers have created two projects that bring them to current systems.
- Afterglow is a port of all the AfterDark screensavers to modern MacOS systems
- Flying Toasters! Reverse Engineered allows you to run your own Flying Toasters sim in your browser of choice.
Cool stuff. Always a fan of bringing nostalgic softwares back to life.
